work in our Pain Medicine clinic in Newberry (Newberry area), Florida. Our
office is located several miles west of I-75 in Gainesville.
We take a multimodal approach to pain treatment, emphasizing non-opiate
therapies and targeted procedures. We are not a "pill mill".

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Unrestricted Physician Assistant license
• Willingness and interest in performing injections, including those of the
  knee, bursae, shoulder, carpal tunnel, face, and musculature, among others
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR programs
• Confidence to work independently
• Willingness to take over existing patients as well as take on new patients
• Optimistic, upbeat personality; excellent verbal communication skills
• Works quickly and efficiently
• Type greater than 50 words per minute
• Excellent written communication skills, including grammar and spelling

Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

• Maintain ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referrals to
  promote team awareness and ensure patient safety. This tracking may
  use an IT database.
• Ensure complete and accurate registration, including patient
  demographic and current insurance information.
• Assemble information concerning patient's clinical background and
  referral needs. Per referral guidelines, provide appropriate clinical
  information to the office manager and/or physician.
• Contact review organizations and insurance companies to ensure prior
  approval requirements are met. Present necessary medical information
  such as history, diagnosis, and prognosis. Provide specific medical
  information to financial services to maximize reimbursement to the clinic.
• Review details and expectations about the referral with patients.
• Assist patients in problem solving potential issues related to the health
  care system, financial, or social barriers (e.g., request interpreters as
  appropriate or transportation services).
• Establish and maintain relationships with identified service providers.
• Ensure that referrals are addressed in a timely manner.

Job Type:

The Referral Coordinator is a full time position. Compensation will be
commensurate with education and experience with salary range starting at
$13.00 per hour. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
