CERTIFIED Physician Assistant

We are seeking a full-time, Florida-licensed, certified Physician Assistant to
work in our Pain Medicine clinic in Newberry (Jonesville area), Florida. Our
office is located several miles west of I-75 in Gainesville.
We take a multimodal approach to pain treatment, emphasizing non-opiate
therapies and targeted procedures. We are not a "pill mill".

NEW GRADUATES ARE WELCOMED TO APPLY.

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Unrestricted Physician Assistant license
  • Willingness and interest in performing injections, including those of the
    knee, bursae, shoulder, carpal tunnel, face, and musculature, among others
  • Familiarity with EHR/EMR programs
  • Confidence to work independently
  • Willingness to take over existing patients as well as take on new patients
  • Optimistic, upbeat personality; excellent verbal communication skills
  • Works quickly and efficiently
  • Type greater than 50 words per minute
  • Excellent written communication skills, including grammar and spelling
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Flexibility to arrive early and stay late as occasional circumstances may
    dictate (typical work hours are 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F)

Job Type:

The Certified Physicians Assistant is a full time position. Compensation will be
commensurate with education and experience. The work schedule is Monday
to Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Referral Coordinator

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Prior experience in a medical clinic

  • Works quickly and efficiently; organized and able to manage competing
    priorities; good judgment; resourcefulness in problem solving; able to take
    and follow through with delegated tasks and accountability

  • Excellent attendance record
  • Flexibility to arrive early and stay late as occasional circumstances may
    dictate (typical work hours are 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F)

Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Maintain ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referrals to
    promote team awareness and ensure patient safety. This tracking may
    use an IT database.
  • Ensure complete and accurate registration, including patient
    demographic and current insurance information.
  • Assemble information concerning patient's clinical background and
    referral needs. Per referral guidelines, provide appropriate clinical
    information to the office manager and/or physician.
  • Contact review organizations and insurance companies to ensure prior
    approval requirements are met. Present necessary medical information
    such as history, diagnosis, and prognosis. Provide specific medical
    information to financial services to maximize reimbursement to the clinic.
  • Review details and expectations about the referral with patients.
  • Assist patients in problem solving potential issues related to the health
    care system, financial, or social barriers (e.g., request interpreters as
    appropriate or transportation services).
  • Establish and maintain relationships with identified service providers.
  • Ensure that referrals are addressed in a timely manner.

Job Type:

The Referral Coordinator is a full time position. Compensation will be
commensurate with education and experience with salary range starting at
$13.00 per hour. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

LICENSED Medical Assistant

NOTE THAT MEDICAL ASSISTANT TRAINING AND CERTIFICATE ARE
REQUIRED.

Clinical duties include the following:

  • Medication authorizations
  • Obtain urine drug screens
  • Measure and record vital signs
  • Entering prescription data
  • Setting up equipment for procedures
  • Performing injections
  • Sterilizing instruments
  • Performing X-rays
  • Performing EKGs
  • Administering medications

Administrative Duties:

  • Scheduling
  • Insurance verification
  • Answering phones

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic

We are seeking a full-time Paramedic to work in our state-of-the-art pain
medicine clinic in Newberry. The Paramedic will work under the direction of the
physician and office manager.

Clinical duties include the following:

  • Setting up for procedures
  • Starting IV’s
  • Obtain urine drug screens
  • Measure and record vital signs
  • Entering patient data
  • Setting up equipment for procedures

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Optimistic, upbeat personality; excellent verbal communication skills
  • Works quickly and efficiently
  • Type > 40 words per minute
  • Excellent written communication skills, including grammar and spelling
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Flexibility to arrive early and stay late as occasional circumstances may
    dictate (typical work hours are 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F)
  • Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Familiarity/experience with Mac computers (preferred)

Education:

  • Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

Job Type:

The Paramedic is a full time position. Compensation will be commensurate with
education and experience with salary range starting at $14.00 per hour. The
